Privacy Notice

Last updated 15 September 2026

This notice explains what Mã Xiú Technologies does with personal information when you take a screening interview or a workplace check-in through SLAaP. It is written for the people we hear from — candidates and employees — rather than for the companies that buy the product.

Who we are

SLAaP is operated by Ma Xiu Technologies LLC, trading as Mã Xiú Technologies, a company formed in Virginia. You can write to us at 8401 Mayland Dr, Ste P, Richmond, VA 23294 or support@maxiutechnologies.com.

When an employer uses SLAaP to screen applicants, that employer decides who is interviewed and what happens with the results. We process the information on their behalf. We do not make hiring decisions.

What we collect

  • What you give us — your name, email address, phone number, and the resume you attach, including the text we extract from it.
  • What you say — the written transcript of your interview or check-in, and the screening report built from it, including scores and suggested follow-up questions.
  • Proof that you agreed — the version of the notice you accepted, the time you accepted it, your IP address, and your browser's user-agent string.
  • Service records — the fact that an interview happened, when, and how long it ran, so the employer can be billed accurately.

Your voice

This is the part most people want to know about, so it is stated plainly.

  • We never receive a recording. During the interview your audio goes directly from your browser to the speech provider that converts it to text. It does not pass through our servers, and no audio file is created on them.
  • We keep no audio at all. There is no recording of your voice after the interview ends, because there was never one to keep.
  • We do not create a voiceprint. Nothing here measures or models the sound of your voice to identify you. We are not collecting a biometric identifier.
  • Only the written words are kept.

Automated decision-making

The interviewer is software. It asks the questions, listens, and produces a written report with scores against role-relevant themes. That report goes to the employer as an input to a human decision.

We do not reject candidates, rank them against each other, or tell an employer whom to hire. If you would like a person to review how you were screened, ask the employer you applied to — they hold that decision — and write to us if you want to know what we recorded.

If a spoken interview is difficult for you for any reason, including a speech or hearing disability, a medical condition, or because English is not your first language, you can ask for a different format at no disadvantage. Email support@maxiutechnologies.com with “Accommodation” in the subject line before you begin.

Who else sees it

  • The employer you applied to. They receive your screening report. No other employer receives it.
  • Service providers that run the product. OpenAI converts speech to text and generates the report; under their standard API terms your content is not used to train their models. Resend delivers our email. Neon stores our database. Vercel hosts the application.
  • Nobody who pays us for it. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
  • We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

How long we keep it

One year. Personal information is deleted automatically one year after it is collected — your candidate record, transcript, screening report, application, and interview invitations. This runs on a schedule, not on request.

Audio is not part of that, because none is ever retained. One thing does survive: the employer’s billing record that an interview took place, with your personal details stripped out, because a company’s invoice history cannot silently change. It no longer identifies you.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at maxiutechnologies.com/privacy/requests. It is free, we answer within 45 days, and asking will not affect any application you have.

Depending on your state you may also have the right to know what categories we collect and why, to receive your information in a portable form, to appeal a refusal, and not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these. California residents have these rights as job applicants and employees, not only as consumers.

If an employer has already downloaded or printed your screening report, that copy is theirs and outside our control — ask them directly.

Security

Interviews run over an encrypted connection, and information is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to candidate data is limited to the employer’s own account and to the small number of our staff who need it to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you and the relevant regulator if a breach affects you and the law requires notice.

Children

SLAaP is for hiring and workplace use and is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used it, write to us and we will delete the record.

Changes

If this notice changes materially, we update the date above and show the new version before your next interview. The version you agreed to is stored with your consent record, so we can always show you what you were told at the time.
